Halloween is upon us! Are your ghosts and goblins ready for some howling fun?! Here is my round-up of some fun and free (or cheap!) Halloween events and spooky savings!

Spooky Fun for Kids

Family of Four: Cost varies by event (FREE – $5)

Wilson Farms Hay-Maze – FREE
This year it looks like they are introducing a new Hay-Maze instead of the Hayrides. We haven’t been yet to check it out! Don’t forget to check out the farm animals and the extensive farm store offerings. It’s a great place to spend a few hours!

The Castle Island Association’s annual Children’s Magical Halloween Castle Celebration – FREE
October 24 & 25 @ Noon to 4pm
Head down to Castle Island for a one-of-a-kind holiday celebration. Enjoy magicians, storytellers, refreshments, and the “magical castle”. Costumes are optional. Weather Permitting.

Woburn Lions Club Annual Halloween Parade – FREE
October 25 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
An annual tradition – don’t miss this year’s 61st Halloween Parade!

Northshore Mall’s “Kidgits Boo Bash” – Free for members, $5 annual membership fee
October 28 @ 4:40 pm – 7:30 pm
Festive activities and a Halloween costume parade!

South Shore Plaza’s “Boo Bash” – FREE
October 31 @ 1pm – 3pm
Halloween activities and giveaways.

Trick or Treat!

Family of Four: Cost depends on event (FREE to $5)

There’s no shortage of trick-or-treat opportunities this year and plenty of places to show off your adorable kids in their costumes!

Square One Mall – Halloween Boo Bash – $1
October 24 @ 12pm – 3pm
Visit the Mall in costume for arts and crafts and trick or treat ($1).

New School of Music “Trick or Treat to the Beat!” – FREE
October 24 @ 6:30pm – 8pm
Dress up in costume and enjoy family fun playing musical instruments, join the sing-a-long, check out the petting zoo, and trick-or-treat!

Assembly Row – FallFest – FREE
October 25 @ 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
Halloween crafts, face painting, and trick or treat!

Prudential Center’s “Pru Boo!” – $4 Donation
October 25 @ 11am – 1pm
Kids can trick-or-treat at over 50 stores and restaurants. Halloween activities include face painting, cookie decorating, a magic show, kids concert, and more!

MarketStreet Lynnfield “Halloween Spooktacular” – FREE
October 28 @ 4pm – 7pm
Dress up in costume and enjoy a dance party and trick-or-treat!
